Content Confusion

I have no idea whether feature requests ever make it out of the forum and back to the developers but I have one anyway.
I don't use Smart Content. I have so much content that is either old or does not come from DAZ that it just doesn't show up, so I rely on my content tree hierarchy.
So my request is - please allow us the ability to distinguish individual libraries and folders by colour and/or font size/style. At the moment, if I expand my tree, I have to scroll through interminable folders looking for something. Quite often I come across something I have forgotten I owned, only to promptly forget where I saw it.
Thank you.

Best way is to file it as a Feature request with Tech Support, using the zen desk "contact us' Feature.
OK - will do. I usually use that for returning products that don't work as I expect (one of the things DAZ does get right and is appreciated) but I didn't know it was there for feature requests too.
Have you tried using categories? I've sorted all content using categories within DS, and now have the content in a way where I will find things easily, i.e. I put Mat files, poses and props from the Poser section into one subcategory under the same product name.
No - to be honest, I have no idea how to do that. I'll take a look because that might answer my needs if it works the way you describe. Funny how I can use a tool for years and still know nothing about many of the features.

Many thanks. checking out the links right now :)
Well, it dod look like Categories was the answer to my confusion so I spent 2 days sorting and categorising everything I own into simple, easy to find, categories.
Today I come to use it for real and I find it has a major drawback ... it doesn't update. I am always saving things - scenes, sub-scenes, morphs, poses, whatever. So if I have a dialled version of a character, I save it alongside the original with an updated name - for example, "MeMoo Heavy". But when I look in my category folder - she isn't there.
So Categories may be fine for static, rarely changing content but not for saving and updating project work.
Categories are created by you, so you need to update them yourself.
Yes, I realise that now. For some reason I thought that if I included an actual folder as a sub-category folder, it would keep track of the original. Ahh well, we learn from our mistakes.
