That actually sounds like a really good way to do pumpkins

I"ve seen a few that don't use tape, there's also some that are really artistic in the wrapping.

  • Hallowe'en story time!

  • From the Red Green show [comedy], another way [not recommended] to put a face on a pumpkin.

If you're a duct tape fan, he's got oodles of ideas on how to use that too.

  • Something most never see, the flagman guiding in a plane :-)

    https://youtube.com/shorts/bvJQs71J1FY?si=joXGgw9ZgsI4Jr9z

While coming in to land and park, the seatbelt signs are normally on - all to remain seated until the plane actually stops. This is a very good request to obey. I recall one of the times when the plane I was on was on the runway and the pilot suddenly slammed on the breaks. He had to, his flagman had tripped and fell.

She did a damn good parking job for that plane

  • I keep drafting a reply and the forums keep timing out so this will be brief. Somebody in the comments referred to the person as he which is why I did. We do have men here who also have long hair.

Ah, hair.  Memories of my youth.  '69, about the time I turned Hippie.yes  And yup, I sported a shoulder length Afro.cool

    She asked him why
    Why I'm a hairy guy
I'm hairy noon and nighty-night night
    My hair is a fright

    I'm hairy high and low
    But don't ask me why
    'Cause he don't know
It's not for lack of bread
    Like the Grateful Dead, darlin'

    Gimme a head with hair
    Long, beautiful hair
    Shining, gleaming
    Streaming, flaxen, waxen

Give me down to there (hair)
    Shoulder length or longer (hair)
    Here, baby, there, mama
    Everywhere, daddy, daddy

Hair (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
    Grow it, show it
Long as I can grow it
    My hair

I let it fly in the breeze
And get caught in the trees
Give a home for the fleas in my hair
    A home for the fleas
A hive for the buzzin' bees
    A nest for birds
There ain't no words for the beauty and the splendor
    The wonder of my

Hair (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
    Grow it, show it
Long as I can grow it
    My hair

I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy
    Snaggy, shaggy, ratsy, matsy
    Oily, greasy, fleecy
    Shining, gleaming, streaming
    Flaxen, waxen

    Knotted, polka-dotted
    Twisted, beaded, braided
    Powdered, flowered, and confettied
    Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied

    Oh, say, can you see
    My eyes if you can
    Then my hair's too short

    Down to here
    Down to there
    Down to there?
    Down to where?
    It stops by itself

Don't never have to cut it
    'Cause it stops by itself

Oh, give me a head with hair
    Long, beautiful hair
    Shining, gleaming, streaming
    Flaxen, waxen

Now won't you gimme it down to there? (hair)
    Shoulder length or longer (hair)
    Here, baby, there, mama
    Everywhere, daddy, daddy

Hair (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
    Grow it, show it
Long as I can grow it
My hair (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
    Grow it, show it
Long as I can grow it
My hair (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
    Hair

  • Yup, and those bell bottom pants are a health hazard! "Had" to walk slowly and carefully or the 'bells' would wrap around the other leg and trip a person.

Not bell bottoms, but those really wide-legged early 90s jeans got caught between the wheel and the what's-it-called-in-English, fork? once, when I was a kid, and threw me for an almost literal somersault over the handlebars. Lucky for me, I had a special talent for falling without sustaining any real injuries. I inherited it from my Dad. We're possibly part cat.

"Hair," though! That's some real childhood nostalgia. My Mom recorded it on VHS off TV one night, because she loved musicals. We had all of them: Fame, Grease, Annie, etc. I probably watched Hair 10 times with my best friend, who had a retro-crush (it was the 90s) on Treat Williams who plays Berger. We had debates over whether John Savage (Claude) was ugly or not. She said he was, I said he wasn't. Grease was my favourite, though. The music, anyway.

  • Movies really do affect the lives of people. When Grease was playing in the theaters, afterwards there was a teenage gang jumping on top of people's car hoods and acting out ... {not their cars}.

In watching some of the um, "news" ... it came to mind this remedy presented in a sitcom. I sure hope everybody wasn't rushing out to try it, not exactly everybody's cup of tea, "bee tea"

In doing a little research, it would seem that "bee tea" has been in use as a remedy for various ailments at least since the days of the Pharaohs. Didn't find any modern day researched medical data to back up the claims though. However because of the habits of folk to repeat actions seen in film and screen, this might be a good time to mention that this particular "home remedy" really should be used with care as it "allegedly" can render a guy infertile, permanently.

Oh yes, Canada Post is on strike.

  • Friendly reminder for those considering getting a puppy soon, they grow up and as they grow they explore their world. They need unconditional love, some more so than others ;-)
