Problem with texturing a backdrop!

Hello!
I have a simple curved backdrop and I want to put a texture on it. The problem is that the backdrop has two material zones, top and bottom. When I load a jpg image in the diffuse channel now, it looks like you can see it in the image below.
I have already tried to split the jpg image in Photoshop into two pieces, which I loaded individually to the top and bottom zones of the backdrop. But that did not work either.
So, how can I put an image on such a backdrop and make it seamless over the whole object? Is there a special trick or method to get a seamless image on it?
Please help!

Did the item come with a UV template? Check the zip if it's a freebie, check the Product Library page if it's from the DAZ store.
No, it does not. It´s the backdrop from this product: http://www.daz3d.com/dm-s-more-than-words
All I want it that the image stretches over the whole object, without that seam in the middle. Can I somehow combine the two material zones into one?
Combining the material zones won't help - you need them mapped to take a continuous texture, or you need your texture arranged so that it is seamless on the existing UVs. If there's no UV Template in the product library please report that to support; in the meanntime you can export the item as OBJ (if it isn't already in OBJ format) and use UV Mapper Classic to load it and export a template.
Thanks for the answer.
Meanwhile I have tried something else. I fiddled around with the vertical tiling and offset settings of the textures. This way, the textures float into each other, without a visible seam. Not the best solution because you have to adjust the settings every time you load a new texture, but it works.
At least from the promo pics, it looked like mostly solid colors or maybe tiling textures were all that were used on it...so maybe that problem wasn't ever discovered, before release.
