How to modify this clothing?

I downloaded this outfit of spider Gwen, but I am not very satisfied with this clothing. I perfer to my character wear ballet shoes. So I want to modify the sneakers part to stocking. Yesterday, I use hexagon to do this. But it didn't work well. chould you offer me some easy idea to do this modifying?

Maybe you can use Tool Settings/Geomatry Editor, to delete the shoes polygon in this suit, save it, then wear another ballet shoes for her.
