Hello,
I have a problem with Genesis 8 male.
With female, this problem is not found but with male, it is a permanent condition.
The bending of the fingers has a strange effect.
Whether using the movement options of the hand or when bending individual limbs.
my figure originally had the size 104% and i first reset it to 100 but no change, then i checked available morphs.
added a few relevant ones, but nothing happened.
also setting the resolution higher did not bring any success....
Now asking for help to fix this unsightly result.
attached a picture that shows what happens
Greetings Competition

There is a morph with a non-zero default that isn't proeprly linked to joint adjustments, or possibly joint adjustments not linked to a shape. If you use Edit>Figure>Zero>Zero Figure Shape does the problem go away?
Cool, thank You, its done ,
Im Happy
i will havnt found it without you.
Now it seams, my GF8 is destroyed.
How can that be, and how comes it to the G8M?
its stupid...
have tested it on another sceen, there ist all Okay...
But by the First the Feamale have Big Eyes and a Clown Face?
Can be, i have at the first try, selected the hand from the male and not the full Char?
OK, if the zeroing the shape worked then the issue is a morph without linked joint adjustemnts, which is an easy fix if you installed manually, through Daz Central, or through Daz Install Manager. Load the dev load version of the figure, Edit>Figure>Zero>Zero Figure Shape, Edit>Figure>Memorise>Memorise Figure Shape, File>Save As>Support Assets>Save Modified Assets, and make a note of what it is saving now as that should tell which files were the source of the problem so that you can report them for an official fix.
Is the genesis 8 female issue the same kind of thing? If so the same approach to fixing should work.
Do you think it affects the base figure G8M, or a specific variable loaded with it?
I first observe the phenomenon with a ready-made character that I use more often.
In the females, other abnormalities have developed over time.
Example:
No matter which G8F I load, I get the message G8F female not found, but available.
checking the settings used always shows the same thing.
instead of just loading the used body, head and base, Victoria's head and body is always at 100% and needs to be set to zero to see the loaded morph.
I compared this with another DAZ user who doesn't see this happen.
in addition, two unloaded morphs are loaded, which also have to be deactivated.
often, when loading a purchased pose, the character gets an evil face, uses no expressions have been loaded, a lot of adjusted parameters of the mimic and additionally one or more mimics have been installed, the ones that disfigure the face the most.
a reset of the face is usually ineffective, and it takes a lot of time to set everything to zero, since many things are dependent.
Deleting morphs and expressions is also not a good idea, as loading a previously created sceene leads to countless error messages that are looking for the affected morphs even though they were not used

The method I gave above should cope with any non-zero default values, which seems to eb what you are seeing, for Genesis 8.x. Older figures can be a bit trickier as they do not have the equivalent of the dev load version of the figure.
The first suggested one worked, but this way removed all applied morphs and presets.
so i loaded the old original character and compared it with the now standard G8M..
Then I saved the shape of the old character because a lot of settings would have been necessary to restore the look.
Before that, I balled both hands into fists to see if there had been any changes.
after applying the shape to the first figure, the bending was corrupted again.
so undo..
then i started transferring the settings from the second character to the first one, one by one.
I was lucky because the first one showed the abnormalities.
the body of Anderson solves this problem.
After resetting Anderson's body, I replaced the body with Callan's and the look is so similar that it's hardly noticeable.
saved shape again and transferred to character A and everything was as before.
case solved!!!
you may report what you find to the Anderson manufacturer.
Thanks for your help
Do you have any idea how to avoid the inexplicable grimacing and unwanted morphs when loading poses on the G8F?
Or should I open a separate topic for this

It's hard to say - it may simply be that there was a preexisting expression that the new one didn't zero, which can be tricky to deal with if you don't want to zero the whole pose.
In case anyone else experiences this challenge with fingers bending out of shape or coming off as crooked when bending the joints. I managed to fix the issue by selecting the figure (Genesis 8 Male, in my case) and then click Edit -> Figure -> Rigging -> Adjust Rigging To Shape. This fixed the problem right away, and the fingers now bend correctly. What a relief as I would've otherwise had to start over and use a different figure for my character. Luckily, that's not the case :)
