Iterations of Figure or Synchronized Figures - Workflow Help

Hello all and thanks in advance for any help you may be able to share.

I'm looking for a convenient way to work with multiple iterations of a figure in a scene, whereby I could edit the proportions, scale, and pose of one figure, and the changes would apply in real time to the remaining figures. Think synchronized swimmers or dancers in perfect formation. For as much as it may matter, I only use Daz to create still images - no animations.

A big plus would be to be able to create groups of syncronized figures and apply transforms to groups and groups of groups. Like a bunch of people squaredancing in formation: I set up one couple and pose them. I then want to iterate the couple into a small-group formation and then lay out a set of those small groups. I would then like to be able to fine-tune my proportions, poses, and arrangement of figures and groups as I watch how they fit and interact with one another.

Make sense? Is there functionality like this in Daz?

Thanks again!

If you want them to be identical you could use instances, or if you want them to be the same shjape and pose but have different materials you could use a Geometry Shell (both in the Create menu).

  • Thank you muchly, Richard! I'll check those out!
