Exporting a scene -- probably a stupid question...

What happens if I export a scene and send the export file to some other person who has DAZ Studio but does not have all the products that make up the scene?

There is a big difference between an export and a saved scene file. Saved scene files can be shared, exported 3D mesh files cannot.

if you send them the .DUF file (your only legal option) and they don't have the files needed it will give off errors on the missing items (depending on the items and usually show blocks where the data is missing

Exporting a scene?  It is against the EULA to export the objs and share them.  As in illegal.

They mean sharing a duf of a scene they created. Not illegal & they even had a means of sharing scene dufs in the Gallery.

What they wrote and what they might mean are different things. saving and exporting are two very different things. There are way to many on the web that export things out of DS to post and share, hence the confusion.
