Lighting Question concerning Reality 4 & DS 4.7 Pro...

I have just started working with Reality 4 and I understand the lighting pretty well. I set up a scene and used R4 two mesh lights to light my primary figure, but I also have two point lights that were part of my initial setup in DS 4.7 Pro. The render looks great, except for several spots that are highly pixelated and blurry with red spots even after 15 hours of render time. Some of these areas are in well lit areas but use the metal shaders from Reality.

My main question is this: Could the problems be due to using DS Point lights instead of Reality Mesh Lights with Reality Shaders?

I'm going to replace the point lights tonight, but I hate to waste another 15 hours of render time if it won't solve the problem.

Thanks in advance for any help.

That's probably a yes on the point lights...remove/replace them.

as a general rule in Reality don't use the default Studio lights unless you are trying to achieve an specific effect. They tend to flood the scene. This can sometimes be compensated in the lighting tab of LuxRender when a light has it's own group and can be adjusted while you render.
