Just a thought that just popped into my head. Using a real person's head in an animation with a body from Daz3D.

Just two things.

Is it possible?

Any examples?

    Hi Zapboy,

It is certainly possible. The one bit of software that allows this is called Facegen Exporter (http://www.facegen.com/exporterDG.htm). It only works applying to the Genesis figure, not the M4/V4 or Gen2 figures, so it is limited in that regard. We actually used it for the character we used in our Octane test render videos:

Now we haven't tried it with any sort facial animation, so your mileage may vary in that regard. But it is a starting point. Hope this helps!

If you mean superimposing with chromakey it is possibe but fiddly in DAZ studio which does not do animated backgrounds or textures natively.
In carrara (or Poser and iClone for that matter) one can match move animation with video footage easier.
Video your subject against a greenscreen or bluescreen in a matching bib, turtleneck draped sheet whatever and remove background with something like cinegobs keyer or more fancy software.
Texture a plane with the video in Carrara, Poser or iClone and parent to head of figure and your done
DAZ studio way trickier, would involve compositing Hitfilm is one possibilty, maybe Fusion which is free unsure though.
It may work with the animated textures plugin or casuals Texmatanim but unsure as I have the other easier softwares
