Indie developer licence with Daz and using other artists works

I have a indie developer licence with Daz so that I can create the renders be used in an app.
I currently only purchase Daz models with the associated artists.
I have to sign off with apple that I can use them due to copyright.
Would love to know if I can purchase other artists works that are on the Daz site i.e animals. clothing, textures.
regards
Natalie

First of all you are saying "renders to be used in an app" and if you really mean 2D renders of the products you purchased in the DAZ3D store - does not matter if stills or animation - then this is covered by the default license in general. Just read the license agreement and this should be clear. If this is sufficient for you then I'd personally return the Indie Game Developer License if you are within the 30 days period of purchase.
For the game developer licenses, these apply in the case of use of the actual 3D models in a game and apply to the vendor they state they cover. A few vendors have got game developer licenses up so if another vendor than DAZ interests you then you might be able to purchase another license for a another vendor.
But as said, check what you want to do with the DAZ3D purchased content as basic 2D renders are generally fine with the default license.
Thanks heaps. Will ask and get a refund. Does the default licence, also include models from other artists. i.e. model of a car, or a texture fro a dress?
Moved to The Commons since the PA Commercial forum is for PAs to post about their commercial products in the DAZ Store.
The standard EULA applies to all content purchased from the store unless noted otherwise on the product page (the only item with additional restrictions that I am aware of is the Anne Marie Goddard Digital Clone for Victoria 3). As long as your game uses only 2D renders, still or animated, then you don't need a Gamer Developer License and you can use all content that uses the base EULA.
Checked with Daz and they are giving me a refund. Thank you! Just a quick question, if I am considering using the fairytale images ie cinderalla, snow white, dwarfs in an app. Will there be any issues with Disney if I use them?
Well Snow White is a european fairy tale and was published by the Brothers Grimm in 1812. Cinderella is based on an italian Fairy Tale and also published by the Brothers Grimm in there 1812 collection.

So as a whole Disney doesn't own overall license or copyright, but where you may have issue is if you copy the looks or basis of characters from there copyrighted material. For example the dwarf names Sneezy, grumpy & Dopey were added to the story by Disney for there telliing of the fairy tale. So using these names for the dwarves is probably a bad idea. Your best bet is tracking down earlier versions of these stories and using these as a base to avoid impinging on Disney's rights.
Disney does not own the story of Snow White but the artistic style and cel techniques are easily recognized. I believe these are trademarked to Disney and best advice is to steer clear if you are aiming for commercial use.
