Hi all
as it says above just how to save a character after using Geometry Editor Tool to make polygons invisible.
watched a YT video last night and had a play for a couple of hours.
only to discover that they didnot say how to save a character after using Geometry Editor Tool to make polygons invisible.
so how do you do it? can it be done?

You have to create new surfaces. Select the polygons you want to be invisible > right click somewhere > create surface from selected. Than you click that new surface in the surface tab and set the cut out or opacity to zero.
Now you can save and keep your result for next time. Maybe you should save it as scene subset...
You can also add a new bone (right-click menu with the Joint Editor, under its Edit sub-menu) and asign the polygons you want hidden as its Selection group (Tool Settings pane with the Joint Editor active - it's at top-right). Adding a bone won't affect the rigging since there will be no weights assigned to it. Using a material setting to hide it will still send it to the renderer, hiding it as a bone will not. Also, all figures in the scene will have the updated geometry so if you have others, without the polygons hidden, their materials will not apply correctly if you use that method to hide.
