Yes. The panes need to be undocked, then dragged to the second display. The results can be odd if the two displays have different resolutions; also note that the current General Release, 4.20.0.2, is not saving the layout between sessions - the current Public Build has a putative fix, so it may be worth trying that for now.

I'm often using DAZ on 3 screens, I keep the 4th for Blender/ZBrush. You can Undock any Pane or Pane group, and drag it to another screen. Main Viewport, Auxiliary viewport, etc. Doesn't matter, each Pane is undockable/draggable to another screen.

I did not notice what Richard said about DAZ 4.20.0.0 not saving layouts (I'm on 4.20.0.2) between sessions. But if it's an issue for that version it doesn't matter much as you can create your own UI(s) as you like them for 1, 2, 3 or more screens. And save each UI layout (Window > Workspace > Save Layout As (F4)) to load them back later.

I think it's not an issue if you have an existing session layout, only with a clean start or with saving a custom layout.

  • The 4.20 saving of layout issue made me go back to 4.12.117. Everything seems to 'just work' there. I've decided to wait for 5.x and hope (against all odds) that it will finally provide UI scaling while still supporting my antediluvian GPU (Quadro M5000).
