If soemthing is parented to a bone it will move with the bone - that is the point of parnting. What are you wanting to achieve with the parenting?

Have you tried parenting to the root of the figure rather than the hip?

If you want him to stay still relative to the carrying pose then you would need to parent to the chest, probably, so that he followed mortions of the main body part - then make sure that the arms are not moving relative to the chest. The further the parent is from the point of support/contact the more the two will move relative to each other.

Is Parent In Place on in the change parent dialogue? If not the new child node will move so that its centre point is aligned with the centre point of its new parent, if that is what you are seeing.

Ohh how do i check that out! i never thought of that! where do i look for that!

It's a check-box at the bottom of the Change parent dialogue; it's also a checkable menu item in the Scene pane option menu, the lined button in the top corner or right-click the tab.

Then what do you man - if you move the parent then of course the child will move with it.

OK so how do i keep him still!

What are you trying to do? You seem to have contradictory aims - you want the figure to be still, though it's not clear what you want it to be still relative to, but you are parenting it so preumably you want it to move with some other thing.

I still don't understand - are you meaning there is an abrupt chnage in postion, not part of the lift?

    Thats right !

    When does this happen?

  • lasagnamanlasagnaman Posts: 1,001

Ok i really appreciate your help Thanks so much! Ok what happens is When i bend her down to do an animation i want him to stay still ! and then after i parent him to her hip or chest he moves on me diagonal or moves up!

I want him to stay still on the floor! then when she lifts him then he goes up with her!

You need to do two separate animations, one up to the point where you want him to stop being static on the floor and one from that point on. Daz Studio does not support aniamtable parenting (it was an exotic feature until relatively recently).

    How do i two animations?

  • Richard HaseltineRichard Haseltine Posts: 100,833

Render to an image sequence, rathr than straight to an animation file, and use your editor to put them together as a single animation at the end.
