how do I clean a monitor or other electronic screen?

I was wondering what is the best way to clean a monitor or other electronic screen?  I have gotten my old laptop back but the screen is messy.  It is a touchscreen and I don't know how to clean it.  Also my iphone and ipad screen gets dirty so quickly too it seems.  How do I clean that?
