OT: Massive Earthquake Hits Nepal.

...Nepal was struck at around 11:00 AM Saturday (local time) by a 7.8 magnitude quake that was centred 50 miles northwest of Katmandu, collapsing many structures including some that were centuries old, and claiming over 1,400 lives. The quake also triggered huge avalanches on Mount Everest claiming the lives of at least ten climbers including Google's Dan Fredinburg. The effects were felt as far a way as New Delhi and Pakistan.

This is very sad indeed. The international community is rushing to help so that is one good thing about this situation.
