Genesis 2 Surfaces Arrangment

Is there any way to arrange the way the surfaces appear on G2? The way they have it set up its just random as all get out.
Is it arranged by UV? No..
Is it arranged by body part? No

There seems to be no arrangement.

I would like the skin UV maps to be nice and orderly, like how genesis worked

Group Set one is Head
Group Set 2 was Body
Group Set 3 was limbs
Group Set 4 was eyes.

That made sense to me.

I know I can select ALL skin but not ALL skin share the same UV. If I want to change the specular map for my limbs I have to scan over 28 surfaces and pick em out individually. It's quite annoying, to say the least.

Agreed. It's kind of a PITA to keep selecting face/lips/nostrils and do stuff, then pick out the torso, and the limbs... meh

Yeah, I was going to advise using Legacy. It's what I always use to select my surfaces, too.

The Default Template groups select surfaces by the those that share a texture map. The numbers of the templates directly relates to the numbers used in the Legacy surfaces.

It's still a mystery to me, why the legacy system that was working perfectly well was replaced by no system at all. I've been trying to wrap my mind around it since the release of Genesis 2 and I'm still completely baffled.

It's the modern definition of "progress".
