Modifying a geoshell
I've got a freebie clothing item (guy91600's 'jartelles' aka garter/suspender belt) which I suspect is based on a geoshell. The item is always a noticeable distance away from G8F's skin (base figure as well as characters I've created) and I'd like to shrink or eliminate the gap. As a pragmatic solution, scaling by 97% seems to work, but I'm wondering if there is a more principled way to address the problem.
This is nothing to do with anatomical elements, btw. Although the item extends between waist and mid-thigh, it doesn't go near the groin.
I've seen tutorial videos which explain how to create geoshell clothing, but when I examine the item I can't find a geoshell associated with it, a necessary first step to modifying it. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, and I just need a pointer. But if it's not geoshell based, I'm wondering how it was created, and again whether I can make it more skin-tight.
Any help to find the geoshell and modify it would be appreciated, as would a heads-up that I'm barking up the wrong street.

If it's indeed a geoshell, then...select the item and check the Parameters Tab > General > Mesh Offset. There you can simply decrease the value to bring the shell closer to the body. If it's a clothing item rather than a geoshell, then you may want to take a look at Zev0's fit control or RiverSoft's/Sickleyield's Ultimate Clothing Fixer. Both products are script which will allow you to add several helpful morphs to any item for better fits and clothing layering. One of the morphs allows you to expand the clothing, but dialing it negatively will allow you to shrink said clothing.
Thanks for the quick reply. There is no 'Mesh Offset' associated with the object (unless it's hidden - is hat possible?), so I guess that means it is not geoshell based after all. But the size of the gap must be declared somewehere surely. I'm hoping there is a parameter I can find and modify, but I don't know where to look.
If a parameter can't easily be traced and adjusted, then the Sickleyield product looks interesting - thanks for that link.
You can also try to use a push modifier. It is probably the simpler.
Select the cloth then edit>figure>geometry>add push modifier
Then go to parameter>general>mesh offset and adjust the distance (with a negative value probably).
Thank you - I will give that a try
