There's a thread here, where people who have used the tool posted: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/502451/grasp-helper-for-genesis-8-and-genesis-8-1-ideas/p4
Perhaps, someone there is able to help you, or it already has a solution?
It is likely that you have something that is using a geoshell on the figure (I assume it is a figure, but it could be anything with a geoshell). In many cases this causes the white shell issue. I am not exactly sure why, but I believe it has something to do with the way the item with the geoshell copies the materials for the fiture.
You can figure out which item is causing this by turning on Iray preview in the aux viewport and turning off the visibility of the other various items by clicking the "eye" next to the item name (in the V column in Scene view).
Once you determine what item is causing the issue, you can either leave its visibility off (if you don't need it) or you can select the item, find "Shell" in the paramaters display, and turn off all the areas that are affected without turning off the areas that need that shell to be visible.
ETA: This is not specific to the Grasp Helper, I have seen it happen with many products that use geoshells, are grafts, or otherwise require materials to be copied to another item from the base figure.
I am not familiar with Golden Palace directly, but the fix should be the same as with other shell conflicts. I threw a shell on a character with Grasp Helper as a test and the below worked:
The quick way is to hide those areas of the shell that you don't need - for example, you probably don't need the genital shell visible on the arms.
Hope this helps. Here is an image of the relevant paramaters section:
You do not need to create a new shell. I just did that for my demonstration since I don't have the golden shower asset.
You should click on the shell that Golden Shower creates (probably select the item in scene, but maybe there is something called "shell" under it) and turn off visibility for "substitute_" as shown in the image above.
This happens frequently with GP, and other geoshells, especially if you are using things meant for Genesis 8 on 8.1. I think the body, arms, head and such are named differently on 8.1 than 8, and when the shell instructs those areas of the shell to be trasparent (opacity=0), it's not finding the 8 shells that it's expecting. With GP, you usually have to add transparency for both majora and gens shells, as both are usually affected. In my understanding, it has less to do with textures being transferred and more with shell transparency.
For what it's worth, I get a solid-white shell on my GF8.1 figures when I apply Grasp Helper to help simulate collisions and deformations like a finger pushed into a cheek, or whatever. This happens whether or not I have anything that puts a geoshell on the figure. So it's not just rbrunodesign having the issue - though in their case it's almost certainly the GP shell adding to the issue.
rbruno, to resolve part of the issue, the creator of GP does include a shell fixer script with the product, that you can use to help resolve some geoshell conflicts. They should be included in the product folder.
