Morphs Installed in a Different Content Folder

If I have a character, or morphs, installed in a diffeent Content Folder, and I load a character from my main Content Folder, I'm hoping that the morphs in a separate folder will not load unles I go to that folder and access them. Is that the case? You see, I'm trying to cut down on the number of morphs that load when I load up a character.

If that content folder is identified to DS as a content library, they will be treated in the same way as your other morphs. You would need to leave that content library out of the ones DS looks in for them not to be used. You can either switch them in and out manually when you want to use them, or set up multiple content sets through Content Directory Manager one with and one without that library.
(Personally, I install my "excess" characters into a content library on an external HDD and have that permanently defined in the CDM, but I just don't plug in the drive unless I want to use those characters.)
This does mean that Smart Content shows a lot of "broken" entries, but I'm happy to live with that to get faster load times with my "favourite" characters.
@MelanieL : Thanks for the quick response. Now, what if the poses and morphs are for a G8 Female, and I load a G8 Male? Would the G8 morphs also load up? In this case, I'm talking about body morphs for various poses.
Then, I might apply a G8 Female pose to a G8 Male, and apply the morphs for that pose also. (I might have to do some extra tweaking, of course.) In this case, would the G8 morphs (intended for a female) only load up if I used them on a G8 male? Otherwise, I'm guessing, they would not load up whenever I just loaded a G8 male.
I'm thinking, also, that they probably would not load up even if I just loaded a G8 female. I'd have to apply the pose to the female, and then apply the morphs for that pose.
Is my thinking correct here?
No.
Poses are poses and morphs are morphs. If the morphs are installed and visible to DS, DS will load them when you load the corresponding character. G8M will not load G8F morphs or vice versa, no matter what you do.
OK, but these morphs are "fixes" for the poses. Now, the poses are for G8 Females. I know that that I could apply a pose intended for a G8 Female to a G8 Male. (I might have to adjust it a bit.) The morphs are also intended for G8 Females, to make the face or body, for example, show the effects of a punch or a kick. So, are you saying that I might use the G8F poses on G8Ms but that the morphs for G8F will not be usable on G8Ms?
I have not installed anything yet. I want to wait until I understand this, so that I do not install anything that I don't intend to use. Perhaps the Screen Shots will make this more clear. The first screen shot shows a list of morphs. The second screen shot shows a list of some of the Kick poses. The third screen shot shows an example of a kick pose. So, you can see how an indentation in the area of the body that is kicked might make the action seem more realistic. But, if I can't use these morphs on G8Ms, that's OK. I just want to understand so I won't install things that are of no use to me.
Yes, that is what I'm saying.
@PerttiA: OK. Thanks a lot. That does help me decide what to install and what not to install.
