  • Please excuse the formatting of previous post.  On phone I was unable to get paragraphs to work..

I should have mentioned in previous post that that is something I had tried early on a few days ago and had tried a few times after the repeated install/uninstall of TL.

    Thanks for the response.

The Reset Content Directories scours through every directory in your Content directories to look for .tlOff files and renames them back to .dsf.  As long as you haven't changed the content directories locations, it should find everything.  Even so, if you have reinstalled some stuff and it goes into different directories for some reason (say you originally installed with DIM and then installed with Daz Connect), you could have duplicate morphs scattered around, which may cause problems.

At this point should I uninstall daz and all G8 content and then attempt to reiunstall all of it?  I have five years worh of scene files, content installs, content uninstalls, upgrades, and more since the last time I uninstalled and reinstalled daz.  With scenes files exception I am sure there are a good deal of leftover files with improper uninstall when installing through Daz itself and the DIM.  I have not  used Daz Central for installs/uninstalls.

I digress...  should I uninstall Daz and All g8 content and then reinstall?

No. I wouldn't do that.  After running Reset Content Directories, you might try selectively reinstalling stuff that is giving you problems.  Since you use DIM, you could try reinstalling G8F, the G8 Starter Essentials, and see how it is.  Then any other products you are having problems with

I've tried TL for Gen8 female a few times and I'm still not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
I ran TL for one of my Gen8 Females, a new character. I decided to run TL so that all those unuased Expression morphs, body morphs etc... are not loading as I don't use them.
Then once i am happy i do a subset of that Gen8 so I can use her later in any scene.

Now i thought TL would only apply for that specific Gen8 when loading her subset but it appears any Gen8 Female whatever morph i deselected for "hid" for my newly created Gen8 Female is now affecting all my previously created scenes with Gen8 Females. I am honestly not sure I guess on how to use TL properly. I just bought TL Boost Utility in the hopes this will make using TL easier.

I have watched Riversoft Art's video but i'll be honest I think i'm missing the complete gist of using TL. Any other help I can go look up maybe?

ps. I really need TL to work to be honest as loading scenes / models etc.. takes 5min and longer and to save them even longer than 5min. Even saving a completely new empty scene takes long.

You are correct.  You are using the Turbo Loader Manager (TLM) to turn off ALL unchecked morphs for ALL G8Fs that you use (so you will turn off 1000s of morphs).  None of them will be available for any G8F.  Since you bought TL Boost Utility (TLBU), the next step is easy.  If you want to load a scene or a G8F, use TL Open File or TL Merge File to make TLBU scan the scene file or character duf file for the morphs used, enable those morphs and then load the scene/character.  At that point, those morphs are permanently back on and will be available for any G8F until you disable them again using the TLM.

Note that if you want to dial spin with morphs in a new scene, you will use TLM to turn on all the morphs you would like to have available BEFORE you load a vanilla G8F into the new scene.

Thank you for answering, appreciated. I will do as you instruct and thank you for this product. I can see it's value, just got to understand how to use it properly.
