is Rick for Cory6 only for Iray?

this is the 1st time a character skin not working for me in 4.6.2.118
he's showing all kinds of lines ?
there's one advanced ambient light in scene. i tried a few different sss strengths.
don't know if it's specular map problems or normal maps or displacement maps :shut: ???

Ahhh....lizard skin.
That's usually a problem with the AoA SSS shader. UberSurface can have it happen, too...but not as common.
Find the Group ID...for the whole character, and set it to something else, because it's probably the same as something else in the scene. If that doesn't do it...then still in the Surfaces for that character, adjust the Shading Rate...and if it is STILL doing then the Scale (all three are pretty far down the surface settings list and close together). And if after all that...the render setting's Shading Rate.
thanks.
what a bother, though.
should prolly return it :-S
Usually it's the Group ID and it can happen anytime you load ANY TWO (or more) characters using the same SSS shader...and same Group ID. You would have to change one of them unless you are going for the lizard look.
thanks. maybe cory and callie have the same id.
can't test til i get home. 9 hours. wanna play renders.
left off trying to figure out where the revolving doors is supposed to go in the smoking room. it's loading behind the fireplace.
That would be my guess...
It seems to happen less when two of the same base figures have the same ID. I'm not saying it couldn't/won't with two of the same. But it seems to happen frequently when two different base figures (G2F/G2M) are used. Or a figure and prop...
you were right, changed group id to 500 :cheese: took care of the lines
