Genesis 2 left ankle divot

I've notice that all of my Genesis 2 based female characters have this same crater just above the left ankle. Has anyone else noticed this? Has there been an updated Genesis 2 release that addresses this flaw? I've tried to fix this issue using morph tools etc and trying to fix it in Photoshop but nothing seems to work really well.

Don't have an answer, but here is a quick render for my G2F with zeroed settings and a quick ankle bend to emulate your picture. No divot.
Perhaps some of the files have been corrupted? As a suggestion, you could delete G2F and reinstall. I am not a power user, so there might be unintended consequences.
Interesting. May I ask when you installed you Genesis 2 morphs? My purchase history shows that I purchased and installed them in Nov. 2013. Perhaps newer releases of this have corrected this issue.
You should use DIM (DAZ Install Manager), to install all of your DAZ 3D content, that way, you get updates as they are released.
I don't think for one moment that what you are seeing was ever released by DAZ 3D, it is so obvious that it would hve been commented on immediately. If I were you, I would uninstall Genesis 2 Female, and reinstall it using DIM.
When you load a new fresh copy of Genesis 2 Female, go to the Parameters pane, and look in the Currently Used area to see what morphs are loaded and used with G2F. It may be a freebie morph that is corrupting the model.
Amazing what one learns on this forum. Never realized it was there before. Currently Used will be very helpful! Thanks.
Well, yes I always use DIM for installations. BTW, the issue shows up in Poser, Studio and Cararra. Of course, they all reference the same geometries from the MY DAZ Library folder so I guess that's to be expected. I'm a bit loath to uninstall and reinstall everything because of all the characters I've pre set up and have stored in female and male models folders. I'm afraid I might lose all that work. I guess I'll have to save a copy of that folder on a secondary drive so that if reinstalled screws all that up, at least I can revert back and accept that I'll have to live with this issue.
I'm not aware of any freebie morphs that I'm using with G2F. In fact, the only character morphs I use with her are those I've gotten from the DAZ marketplace because there still isn't that much content available for G2F/M from the other big 3D marketplace sites and most of what is available isn't as good as what I find at DAZ. When I load the G2F base figure, she loads with this artifact and remains after I apply the morphs for the character I want to use.
Tried a reinstallation of the G2F base and the artifact is still there. Hmmm...
I just noticed your issue is using g2f in Poser. I loaded g2f into Poser Pro 2012 via DSON Importer and I get that divot too. I'd suggest you file a support ticket to DAZ Technical Support.
Have you tried loading into DS and looking at the Currently Used group in the Parameters pane? This isn't an issue from the base figure or morph packs, I'm pretty sure there was another thread with the same problem a while back and it was some interaction or setting that was tracked down and fixed.

I had a feeling this was a known issue. I'd love to find that thread. Thanks.

OK having done that in both Studio and Poser I see pretty much the same thing in both. So I'm at a loss for what I should be looking for. And, btw, I've now noticed that this is a consistent problem for all of my G2F characters including those created by DAZ: Victoria 6 normal and HD, Gia, Lilith. Every one of my G2F based female characters has this same dent.
Are there any morphs listed under Currently Used when you load a default Genesis 2 Female?
This is what I see in both Poser and Studio with the default G2F figure loaded and without any modifications.
If I may,
What Richard is asking is for you to click on Currently Used box (see my arrowed image). This is a really useful feature that will show only those parameters like morphs that are not set to default values. If there is a weird entry there, then this will likely be the culprit.
That's what I've been doing. Everything is zeroed. Or I should say, because everything is zeroed I get the "What do I do?" dialogue box.

It isn't, however, what your screenshot shows which is why we are wanting to make sure you understand what is being asked. Try showing hidden parameters (in the option menu, the lined button at top-left of the pane).
I've had the "Hidden Parameters" option selected and get the blank "What do I do?" screen. I haven't used Studio much but there is a similar option available in Poser. This menu is populated when I enable it but it mirrors what's show in the default parameter plane so and shows me that no additional morphs have been loaded.
Just to follow up... This is what's shown with the hidden parameters twirled open.
If the morph controller was assigend with foot node, (not genesis root node)
even though you select genesis2 and check curently used, with show hidden parameter option,
may not show anything.
I can almost assert the problem should be caused by your installed morphs.
then my suggesiton is, select genesis Rightfoot then click "currently used" .
it may show you controller which work with genesis2f ancle node.
=======================
Edited it seems happen without rotation.
Anyway, to show all prameter now used,, you need to select all nodes in scene tab.
select root genesis, ,then select children. it select all nodes of genesis2female.
Then, your ds version is 4.7 ?
because 4.7 change behavor of "currently used" , it can show all parameter value which differed from base.
but 4.6 or more old version, "currently used" can not show tweaked parameter
if morph default value has been changed.
about this case, to serch morph which cause problem get more difficult.,,
you may need to check with zero figure, then morph value has changed or not.
(but zero figure can not work about hidden properties.,,)
=========================
And if you re-install all morph products, it may not cause problem about your saved scene files, I believe.
(of course you need to re-install product which you used for the scene. and may get message,
after you uninstall the problem morph, and load the scene. but no problem.
If there is no way to serch the problem morph,
I may suggest Uninstall all morph products of gen2 female once.
then re-install by DIM one by one, to check and serch which morph cause problem.
it usually miss set default value or lost formula.
I'm having the same issue with Genesis 2 in Poser using DSON Importer v. 1.2.0.12. I reverted to the Importer to v. 1.1.3.50 and it went away. Genesis 2 works normally for me in Studio 4.7.0.12, which I believe is the current version.

I think there are several Threads on this Issue. It appears that it might be even a reoccurring problem from some of the dates on the older posts. In my case, no issues at all with DS loaded Genesis 2 Figures (See Images). But at some point, following latest updates to DSON Importer (1.2.0.12) and the Genesis 2 Starter Essentials; when loading Genesis 2 Characters via DSON Importer into Poser Pro 2014 this defect is introduced into the figure. I can tell you I have done everything from blowing away all DSON produced "Auto-Adaptive" object files, clearing DSON Caches, Uninstalling/reinstalling DSON/GEN2, removing all DSON generated hidden files/etc etc/ and have been unable to stop the defect from being "produced" when loading a Genesis 2 Character into PP 2014 via DSON Importer. I have only superficially looked at the python scripts/cr2/duf/dsf, but obviously something is corrupting the object file which is being used by the poser app.
On another thread it was mentioned that it is a known issue and tech support indicated it is being "worked"
I know this is only a partial solution. But I use the morph brush in Poser to smooth the divet away. I use the smooth function. It works, but you have to tweak it as you change poses. I am hoping Daz comes up with a more permanent solution to this issue.
Yep... that's the work around I've used the good news (at least for me) is that I'm not a big time user of the Gen 2 actors in PP anyway; and even when I do use them, this defect is usually covered by boots/clothing/etc or is not even in the rendered image field of view... But it's still kind of annoying that apparently a corruption was introduced in the import/export scripts somewhere along the way...
