Hi all. I'm trying to use G2F in Poser 10, and I'm getting a DLL error.

Windows 8.1, 64 bit
Poser 10.0.5.28925, SR 5 installed
latest version of DSON Importer and G2F Starer Essentials CF installed

An errror occurred importing addon dson :
ERROR: DLL load failed: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

Any recommendations for help?

Hi Frank -- I have both installed over in my Daz runtime. Since I just want to get G2F into Poser, I installed only the CFs for her. Do I need to update my Starter Essentials?

You need both the PoserCF and the Studio files when using the importer.

Hi Vaskania -- I have all the Studio files installed over in my Daz runtime, so I don't think that's a problem.

Make sure you are installing the 32-bit version of the importer, not the 64-bit version. Poser 10 is a 32-bit program and the importer has to match that.

Hmmm, that could be my problem. I thought that the DSON Importer installer had to be 64-bit, like my OS. I'll try the 32-bit.

Okay, so I just tried uninstalling the 64-bit Importer and installing the 32-bit Importer. I still get the same DLL error, though.

Where did the DSON importer install to? The roaming app data folder or the main Python folder in the main Poser app folder. Poser10 is 32 bit. Your OS doesn't matter, it's the app that matters. If a .dll is not installing, try downloading a fresh copy and manually installing it. You also might want to install to the main Python folder in the main Poser app folder. Most scripts work best there.

icprncss -- I was installing the DSON Importer to the content runtime [separate from main app folder], so I think that was my problem. Error has disappeared, and it seems to be working now...

    Thanks for suggestions!
