Who does the splash art for promos?

Just saw this pic, used in one of Exart3D's latest offering and I am blown away by it.

Melani HD for Genesis 8 Female | Daz 3D

Literally, everything about it... the model, the lighting, the background, the pose, the hair.... everything.

Does anyone know, or has it been previously mentioned, who does the promo sales art for projects at DAZ? I would love to pick their brain(s) about techniques.

As a general rule,  every PA does their  own promo art for their products.

When a product becomes a DAZ Original then Daz commsions their internal artist to do promos.

So probably Exart3D  made the renders for this product.

Like FistBastion mentioned, some of us do our own promo art. Some PAs, I believe, commission their promo artwork as well. When it comes to Daz commissions, my personal experience has always been that I include promos there as well. Meaning, some Daz Originals (whether they were commissioned or bought) have promos done by the PA/s who created the product.

LOL, good luck. that is probably the main reason DAZ handles the custiomer support for the PAs.

The majority of environments in the promo image set seem to be from the other store, namely DM (Danie & Marforno). E.g. the wall in the background of above image is from "DM's Studio Art for Genesis 8 Females". The poses also could be from one of their sets, as well as camera setup and render lights. The hair is Ethel Hair by Windfield, https://www.daz3d.com/ethel-hair-for-genesis-8-and-81-female. Some of the PA's reference the DAZ store items they have used. Some do not, which could be an indication that the images were commissioned.

They don't do store art. At least not at Daz.

Nobody mentioned joelegecko, who does many of the main promos for Daz Originals and Core Figures. His unique style is instantly recognizable. You can look him up on deviantart, and he's a vendor here. Personal techniques seem to be a trade secret.

I think it varies from vendor to vendor.  I was asked by JoeQuick to create an image for some of his projects and managed to provide the turtle on the beach talking with two humans for Storybook Turtle HD before my life went into trainwreck mode and I had to take a step back. And while I do this stuff at home, for fun, I know of some people who actually make a living providing promo images - one has a large body of promo work here at DAZ. Some people do it for money, I got advanced previews of excellent products, which I still purchased when released. I was honored just to have been asked to contribute.

Some people get upset about non-DAZ store items in promo renders, and on the one hand, I get it, but on the other, when the work is subbed-out, or even when it is not, the Promo isn't intended to sell dozens of items, but rather just the one - as long as the item for sale is actually in the promo it should be considered on point.  ;)

I love looking at promo images and if they inspire me enough, I buy the product they are selling.  Sometimes I research (or ask in the forums) and buy other products in the images, even from other stores. It has been said many times before, one half of doing 3D is rendering things, the other half is shopping for things. I enjoy both almost equally.
