using 3D renders in school project

I am planing on doing some 3d renders for a school project.  I need images for a power point presentation, but I am trying to figure out how do I cite the images?

If you create the images then you own the copyright - so just cite (c) 2022, Your Name [depending on the citation system your school requires, this may vary slightly]

Now I am wondering about 3D renders from educational software.  I am pretty sure i can use Maya or 3DS Max for that project that requires renders.  Do you know if I can post them in the forums or the art gallery?

For citation, it depends on the content you use. i.e. freebies have restrictions on usage, so always make sure that you check the EULA that comes with the freebie (if there is one). If there's none, things can get tricky. You are usually okay for private use, but if using it in a school project counts as "private use" I have no idea. Most 'not bought' freebies (like the ones you can get on the Rendo freebies subsection) usually have a restriction regarding that you can't use them for commercial purposes. If in doubt, I'd not use the item in the render.

For items bought in the DAZ store (including "freebies" bought through the store, as well as stuff from Rendo, you are in the clear; you can quote the copyright as stated above by Silent Winter.

One thing to look for if using freebies from say ShareCG, is to look to see what the terms are such as Commercial Renders Okay or Unrestricted Use, then you should be good to go..

I don't think Educational Renders are the same as Commercial renders. Very grey area.

For commercial renders might give a bit more leeway.. Although Unrestricted Use would be better, or any freebie with Non-Commercial usage right might alright too.. This is going by a post there that defines some of the usage right terms for freebies on ShareCG..
