Hidden Nodes and file size

I have a scene with 4 simple objects - 2 pots and 2 bunches of poppies. No lights, cameras etc. The scene takes 10 min. or so to load. Closer examination shows this . . . might the almost 20,000 hidden nodes account for the file size/loading time? And if so, how might I get rid of them? I have tried deleting them but it's almost impossible (too many to delete individually, DAZ freezes up if I try clicking on first file/shift/clicking on last file). Suggestions?

The original release of reality 4 was very slow on file operations in DS. I think this has now been fixed with an update, so make sure you are current.

There was another thread on this recently...I couldn't find it, because I can't remember the title, but I don't think the update fixed the old scene files with the tons of extra nodes. I think that had to be done by hand...

I'm not even using Reality at the moment; obviously I gave it a try and found the lighting situation a bit cumbersome. The more I think about it . . . this (and a whole set of files like this) is more or less useless as-is. I need to just re-build the scene from scratch or run them through Hexagon to clear out the useless nodes.

Try using File>Save as>Scene subset and then checking only the items you want, that should trim the unwanted nodes.

Thank you! That basically fixed it . . . I feel like I got my files back.
