I just placed an order and got this mail from Paypal:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As part of our security measures, we review certain payments more closely to ensure our platform is being used properly and

to minimize the potential risk for us and our customers. One of the payments that you sent is currently being reviewed.

We are working to resolve this matter as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What exactly am I supposed to do now, and will I loose the discounts if it ever goes through?

Don't see what the problem is, maybe it's the weapons in one of the items name?

PayPal can take exception to weird things. To be safe I would open a Sales Support ticket, with a screenshot of your cart so they can see what is in it and what prices you are being asked for - https://www.daz3d.com/help .

Yeah, I thought that was a good idea, and already sent them a message.

I forgot to attach a screenshot though, but gave them the Paypal transaction ID.

I do have the screenshot, if they should need it.

    Thanks

The names of items have in the past triggered PayPal's filters. Things with names like yakuza and I think there was one group of Egyptian treasure items that triggered the filters "criminal activity"

Well, I have items with both weapons and treasures in their names, so it's probably one of those.

Really annoying, it's 3.30 AM here. I would have liked to have downloaded my stuff before going to bed,

    guess that's not gonna happen.

Here's an example why buying store credit for yourself with a gift card,  can save you hassles like these.

  • BastrupBastrup Posts: 42

That's a good idea, never thought of that.

Never had any problems though, and I've bought stuff with similar names before.

    We'll see what happens

That sucks, just got another mail from Paypal.

My payment has been reversed due to some risk they claim exist.

    Well whatever, that's just stupidsad

  • Okay, so if the items are still on sale, first buy a gift card, then load up the cart and use it.

    https://www.daz3d.com/gift-card

n.b. the code for the giftcard will be on your confirmation page right after purchase.

It'll have to wait, I have to get up in less than 4 hours and go to work.

Everything will be gone when I have the time to do so, but I'll probably do that in the future.

Anyway, I'll wait and see what support have to say, maybe I'll get lucky.

    Thanks

I got an answer from support, way faster than I thought I would. Super happy about that smiley

I should just buy a gift card on the amount of the order, and they would add the stuff I was trying to buy to my account.

So I'll get the discount, which is good because it costs twice as much today.

Apparently they found the "forbidden item" It's the sweet appartment: https://www.daz3d.com/sweet-apartment

That is probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Paypal is weirdsurprise

  • WendyLuvsCatzWendyLuvsCatz Posts: 38,529

that is bizarre, sweet is usually used interchangeably with cool, awesome etc as an adjective, I have never heard it used with any nefarious implications and certainly describing something as nondescript as an apartment.

Maybe Sweet Sixteen or something could raise flags.

  • BastrupBastrup Posts: 42

Yeah, bizarre is the right word. That's the last item I thought was the problem.

They have no problem with weapons, but apartments..No, can't have that.

    It's a strange world.....

  • This 'might' be the problem:

    • SA LR Chandelier OFF
    • SA LR Chandelier ON
    • SA LR Cooker Hood OFF
    • SA LR Cooker Hood ON
    • SA LR Oven Light OFF
    • SA LR Oven Light ON
    • SA LR Sconce OFF
    • SA LR Sconce ON
    • SA LR Table Lamp OFF
    • SA LR Table Lamp ON

SA LR Services is the name of a company working in South Africa ;-)

I would suspect that "Sweet Apartment" might be a term refering to female genitalia in some groups.

  • BastrupBastrup Posts: 42

    Okay? maybe that's it.

Guess one can always find something wrong with everything in the whole world, if one really want to.

It takes a special kind of strange to relate SA LR Chandelier OFF to some random company most people never heard of if you ask me though.

Richard's guess is even better, I think I'll use that from now.laugh

I've been sick for a few days so a laugh out loud was good tonic. The second LOL came when I recalled a Frank Drebin scene.

I guess thats better than being called "fish"

    well I Google sweet apartment...

    ..and

All the results were apartments to rent, buy etc

not a whooohoo box in sight!

  • You'd have to add another search term or two ;-)  Richard's right.

I don't get why daz store does not just go by item number on the receipt it gives PayPal. I mean other stores have figured this out.

Integration with Paypal is probably a standard feature of the store software they use, which would mean Daz might not be able to customize it.
