Before I buy this, can anyone suggest an alternate bed that might be more in keeping with the style?

The bed sticks out to me in the promo images as just not fitting, which is unfortunate as everything else looks great.

I just can't recall a wood frame bed that would fit. The only ones that come to mind are more fantasy in style.

I also thought the brass thing was a bit too much for the environment, but I think the Modern Bed 1 with the South Beach Deco Beds textures by Moyra over at Rendo would fit really nice, combining both a modern (seeing that pool) and a more traditional wooden/beachy vibe. Doesn't come with a mosquito net though. I'm pretty sure I saw one somewhere here in the Daz Store, but otherwise, you'd have to make one yourself in Blender or something.

Oh, very nice suggestion. Just the type of item I was looking for! You saved the sale. I already own the bed and I wishlisted the texture.

I am willing to take the chance that I might be able to unparent the mosquito net and use it with the alternate bed. Barring that, having no mosquito net is less jarring than the brass bed.

When I saw the bed all I could think is how often that it would need to be polished to remove the rust.
