For the love of...
Howdy folks,
Can someone on the Daz Dev team try to implement pop up windows in Daz Studio that CAN'T HIDE BEHIND the Daz Studio application anytime they desire? As it is now you need to play whack-a-mole way to often to find the info you need. I do other things on my computer besides waiting for a render to clear up. If I check out a web site for a few... I then go "find" my render window to check progress, hrmm looks almost ok, how close is it by percentage(?)...dunno, I have to"find" the Daz application and when I get it to show... IT HIDES MY RENDER WINDOW...ok "find" render window again...ARRRRGGGGHHH the numbers info window is GONE AGAIN...ad nauseam.
Will you folks please consider making the pop up windows called from within DS stay on top of DS? One click on the taskbar and all of my needed info is all there where I left it and need it to be.
Thanks for your time,

I'm not at all sure what you mean - unoess you are leaving multiple renders open (which is wasting resoruces) you will have only twio - the main application, with the progress bar, and the render itself. if you are on Windows just hover the mouse over the Task Bar button and you will, after a moemnt, get a set of pop-ups showing the open windoes - click on the one you want (render or applciation). Even if you are leaving multiple renders open, hovering the mouse over one will pop-ip up without showing the otehrs and you can just go through until you find the one that says Cancel instead of Close.
the render progress window does have a habit of hiding itself under my viewport if it's maximised too, the only way to bring it up is mousing over and clicking it in the taskbar, you need Aero enabled to do this, my other tabs are on my second monitor as is usually the render window so I understand what Murf means.
Some programs have a pin in the corner to put things always on top, D|S could benefit from this.
I believe this may be a Windows system bug, I'm having the same problem with child windows as they are called, in some of the apps I write, and it seems to affect some program builds more than others. It usually only happens occasionally and what is triggering it I don't know. I once had the DS Render window switch between hiding and coming to front every few seconds during a render but that's a rare and extreme example. I don't seem to have noticed the problem recently in DS so it may be related to the DS version you are using.
You can program the child window to stay on top and that always works but then it will stay on top of everything no matter what you do. You can also program the window to stay on top a second when it loads which at least guarantees that it doesn't load minimized/hidden, but after that it may still drop to the background.
AnVir Task Manager (free) has a feature (Tools > Options > Windows Enhancements > Add useful commands to system menu of all windows) which will add an "On Top" menu point to the system menu of all windows which also works for the progress window, you could try that.
Thanks for the info.
I just wish that I could make one click on my taskbar and have all my DS windows pop back up the way I had them arranged when I switched away from DS. The free task manager looks OK but having DS and the render window "always on top" would nullify my effort at multitasking while the render finishes.
