Can HD morph G2 characters export HD to Iclone

I was looking at a couple of the HD morph of G2 F and G2M characters.

It is my understanding they are poly rich and renders are fabulous.

I realize HD charcter addons are intended for Studio.

My idea is to export a couple of characters FBX or OBJ into 3dxchange to IClone 6.

Is this possible?

I plan to use as close up characters in a couple scenes, and use the non-HD for regular scenes.

    No sadly
an obj can be but not FBX
not in Carrara either before you ask
is a shame as the extra subdivided mesh could be handled by the latter but DAZ studio FBX if you tick the subdiv box makes a file that crashes 3dx5 and the fbx import into Carrara is a right mess.

That is good to know, not because it's actually good.

I was going to try it, if I didn't hear from someone.

You saved me some money and a lot of time trying.

    I appreciate your response.

Do you have any recommendations for what I need to do?

    I own the Victoria G2, Belle G2, Gia G2, Gianni G2 and MIchael G2.

I was thinking, if the HD wouldn't work I would just use what I have.

The quality is better than IC 5 and the basic(non-morph)G2 guys look alot better than the IC6 guy.

Also, do you know if the daz face morphs are equal/worse/better than G2 faces before morph?

You might be able to export the SubD mesh as OBJ, load it into DS, and use the Transfer utility to rig it to match the original figure.

I tried that on the deep sea creature but the obj export welds the mesh in default position.
I sort of rigged him with his mouth open but still not good.

Since the overall shape is unchanged you should get reasonable results just using the Transfer Utitlity, at least for the main body parts (eyes and mouth might be trickier).
