Anybody else seeing artifacts around hair when rendering?

I've done a lot of renders, but have been noticing this noise that occurs on hair with fine strands. It makes the hair unusable except for exteme clos-ups.
Medium range shots have this nasty effect. Not sure how to fix this...

On the surface tab for the hair, find "Thin Walled" and make sure it is set to ON. I have several hair products from here that do the exact same thing and turning thin walled back on always fixes it
I'll give it a shot!
Thanks!

I had a similar problem with some hair and I remember fixing it by setting opacity to 0.99 instead of 1, but it was with DS 4.15.
Wow!
That was it....
I have never had to change this setting on hair before...on glass yes...never hair.
