Universe animated in Daz Studio.

edited December 1969 in Art Studio

Hello. I need to create an animated Universe using Daz Studio. This means a flight through galaxies, stars, and so on, you know what I mean.

What is the best way of achieving this using studio ?

I would start with using a space background then maybe add some planet props and and a spaceship :)

I don;t think you'll don't have to worry to much about raytraced shadow mapping in a space atmosphere useless your doing close ups.
I did this space animation a long time ago but I think you'll get the idea

No, I need something like this:

Something that looks real enough to be used in a documentary film.

After Reading the description on the animation and what they used and how many people it took to make the animation. I believe you'll have your work cut out for you trying to create this in daz studio.

They first used all real 3d photo graphics taken from Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS), from the Hopkins University Adler Planetarium. the animation you showed me used actually photos put together in the Sony Vega program.

I think you'll be better off try doing this using,iClone or maybe Carrera or bryce.
But I've never seen any Models for the star field or the galaxies, like those so those you will properly need to make them your self unless someone here know where to find such models.

The person who made that animation, made it with Blender, it says so on Vimeo if you read the description: https://vimeo.com/36095013

yes but it was model after actual Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey

This was what was in his blog

"The template matching was done in color-concentration index space. This gives a very good representation of the visual properties of the galaxies. The galaxy size is proportional to the physical size of the observed galaxy. Elliptical galaxies are pseudo-volumetric ellipsoids with random ellipticity.

The rendering was done in Blender blender.org using python scripts to load galaxy positions and textures. The template generation, matching and other processing was done in IDL and some c++ using CGAL for density field estimations (for the pre-rendering)

More details in his blog: miguelaragon.wordpress.com/

like I said to do this in Daz studio will take a lot of work and I don't know if it would still give you the results you want.

    Good luck :)
