How to create a seamless animation loop with dforce cloth?

How to make seamless loop dforce cloth?

I couldn't make 0 frame = last frame.

Thank you.

I don't think that is something you can realistically expect to do, except perhaps by spawning morphs along the way to the middle of the loop and then ending the simulation and applying the morphs in reverse order to get back to the starting point.

Too bad, animation with dforce so beautiful.

unfortunately unlike Optitex cloth there is nothing baked in the timeline

the best you can do is use something like Dforce2morph on the last frame and apply it instead of start from zero pose on the first one, bearing in mind it's destructive so you must save your simulated scene first and don't save the one you create the morph from over it, even then a new sim may not match as its starting from a different shape but you could then add a few frames and apply that morph again I guess and let it tween

I know how you feel I wish I could save dforce animated item as a animated preset or aniblock too. But I never had much luck baking dfroce into the timeline and staying during the save..

Even trying to save the deforce hair as preset does not completely save the whole animation cycle. pahaps its something i am not doing. But I hope that is something that can be fixed in future release of daz

Right now the best I can do in saving dforce .especially saving soft body movements i have created with deforce(IE breast bounce and body impacts is save them as a scene  and then build the animation off that save. it be nice to save them as a looping aniblock or preset

like i said I hope that is something that can be fixed in future release of daz. its kind  of frustrating to go through all the work of making something look great in deforce and all you can do is save it as a scene and not a preset or a sub-set or aniblock that can be reused as a loop preset.  that has been my experience any way others may differ

    sorry edited for spelling

depending on the length of the animation a series of saved morphs could work, matched with poses

Yes I have done that with alittle success.  your right anything I think over 3 or 4 seconds things stort to fall apart. & you still have to save it as a scene in the end. that s the problem i was having in my rollerskater animation I used dforce for the hair and dress & some of the cycle during the save would stop morphing the hair, keeping it stuck to the right at the end of the cycle, which I didn't notice until after i had it rendered of course..lol

yes it  be nice to save dforce as a preset.

well  Dforce2morph does that but only one frame not a series, you can puppeteer the saved morphs and I have for simple skirt, hair etc movements

Thanks Wendy  I'll give that a try . I can save conforming clothing morphs without any issues, I don't have the Dforce2morph, I must have missed it when Riversoft released it. does it act like a conforming clothing, or hair  morph when your saving the dforce pose?

I wish listed Dforce2morph for the next time it goes on sale and I'll get it a try. it maybe what I need to give me a work around for saving dforce.

    Appreciate the advice

it saves the frame you chose as a morph, don't do the whole outfit though, just a surface like a skirt, cuff etc or it won't fit

exporting an obj and using attenuate by surface is the same thing but a hell of a lot more steps

have you tried it on dforce soft body simulations?  will it save say a face impact from a punch  in the face on the contact point of keyframe  so as to save it as a face smash morph?  Because that alone be worth having the script.  right now I can't save those type dforce simulations as a preset.

    sorry  I am so dylexic.

not tried but it could work by sounds, especially if you punch the face with the figure in a neutral pose, that is how it works best BTW

if doing a walk for example I only animate the lower half

I may have to pick your brain when I pick up the script this sounds like a good work around solution for saving those great dforce morphs results as a pose preset and then keyframe them in manually into the timeline

Oh tried using the diffeomorphic in blender to save the morphs as a obj file  https://diffeomorphic.blogspot.com/p/hd-meshes-version-16.html

But its is a lot of steps too. and it does not transfer back to daz well.   I tried to following it a 100 times but i never can seem to get it to work back in daz studio like they describe so maybe the dforce2morph will work better for me

    • to do it manually delete the eyelashes
    • make sure base resolution
    • apply the punch to your A posed base G8 (or t posed other figures)
    • export the frame you want as an obj
    • use edi-figure-morphloader pro to import the obj morph
    • optional if wanting to isolate to just the one part use Attenuate rightclick  by surface or weight
    • save as morph asset

How about that I didn;t even know you could do that. . that is helpful information. Can you resave it as a morph dial?

Thats awesome info . I'm gonna try it right now with a saved scene i have with some deforce body morphs  .. Thanks Wendy your the Bomb

OMG I can save the morph on the keyframe  and then resave it as a aniblock ,. Happy Dance!!!

Wendy that was a prefect solution and just what I needed to know to save the dforce softbody morphs  .Plus I was able to save it as a pose preset as well as the morph dial

That is so cool I can't thank you enough for the great imfomation.

I wonder why I didn't know how to do that in the first place. I could have used this trick a few months ago when i was finshing up a karate girl animation

    You rock
