ISO a script or function to turn figures parent/child/prop hierarchy visible and invisible quickly?

I'm using a workflow that requires me to be able to make an entire figure invisible, make any parented props on that figure invisible.
As of now I'm expanding the root of the figure and going down one by one to click nodes off or on as needed and it's time consuming.
Is there a way to do this efficiently?

Select them all and go to Create - New Group. Making the group visible or invisible will hide every node under it.
I usually making group too. but sometimes after hidden all by group, hope to make about some child nodes visible individually.
then need to expand group and set grouop node visible.
once you expand group, the way (un visible or visible at same time) may not work.
(if I said mistake, sorry)
then another subsitute, is
in scean tab , r-click top node . which you need to hidden all childs.
then "select children" .
after that use parameter tab , display , hidden.
(it work when you set parameter tab, consolidate properties check on)
thanks both of you! I have not had a chance to try it yet.
