No April Fool's Item This Year?

I look forward each year to see what the DAZ staff offer up for their April Fool's Item (The deflatted donkey was/is my fav). Or will it come later today?

The stupid thing is I've been waiting all year to buy an interactive license for the banana.

I got really excited about the Invisible Chair, but the polygon count is a bit low. On the other hand the textures hold up well in close up.

    You present a good argument.

As lacklustre as the March-Madness sale.

V8, was my favourite April Fool, but all have been fun and usable; this one, not so much fun, and I already have a cube.

the V8 one always gives me a pinge of sadness because I made a video I never got to post in the thread about it because my post was removed as a term used in Australia for the oil level checker was unfamiliar to the DAZ Moderation team

also I don't think they understand the term lubrication is a mechanical term as only know the sexual use

I failed on my effort getting an invisible chair in my freebies on Renderosity, I ended up with 14 polygons in the chair. Catastrophic in comparison. I take my hat off to the DAZ modeller who managed zero. And mine was only invisible in Filament mode. It was hard to see, but possible in other preview modes, loosing its invisibly entirely in iRay. https://www.renderosity.com/freestuff/items/87801/basic-garden-furniture (please use adblocker, I thought I had a download on the forum, but can't find it.)

the thing about innuendo is you actually have to have a filthy mind already to get it

that is just an innocent mechanic who cannot find the oil checker or even the oil cap on that enginecheeky

  • Wendy, I am amazed that the term for the stick to dip the oil level is unknown in the US. Quite remarkable. And all hydrodynamic bearings need a film of suitable hydrocarbon long chain molecule based fluid to reduce friction. Seems peculiar that in one part of the world this essential modern knowledge has been entirely lost.

...actually it is a rather common term, I remember it from back in the 60s.. It also was used as a disingenuous name for someone who was not "quick on the uptake" in the old Dukes of Hazzard television programme (frequently used by the character, Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane).
