Hiding and revealing many clothing items. (SOLVED)

Is there any way to hide multiple items of clothing on many characters without manually hiding each item of clothing? Turning off a character does not always turn off their children. If I select the entire heirachy of a character can they all be turned on or off with a single action?

    Found the answer. Hold the command (Mac) key while selecting "hide" will hide or reveal everything in the heirachy.
