How to align V4 replacement body parts.

I'm trying to make a cyborg character for my Victoria 4 figure. I imported the figure into Blender as a wavefront (obj.) modified her right collar but when I import the part back into Poser 10 for the life of me I cannot align the part correctly.

Did you export her 'zeroed out'? Or just import the obj from the Geometries folder?

Also, the default T-pose is not the same as zeroing her out.

If I recall, the obj and CR2 figure are not exactly the same...the CR2 creates the default pose, which moves things around a bit (arm positions, ankles/feet, etc).

Yes I exported her zeroed. But when I import the part back in, no matter how I adjust the XYZ coordinates Translation or scale the part will not line up!

Here is a pic in Blender with the part perfectly lined up.

And here is a pic from Poser, as you can see it will not align at all!

It's been a long time since I worked on a Gen4 figure in Blender...and never did much in Poser, so I'm running on memory here.

What are the import into Blender settings...and are you doing any scaling in Blender, of the individual body parts?

I use the MDD script since Blender won't import an obj. file directly. I do have to scale it up in blender because the default size is to small to work with. When I export an obj. file back into Poser the scale is set to 1.00. The problem is when I import it into poser it asks for size proportional to the figure. The default is 0, I set it to . The scale seems off and the faces won't match up no matter how I position it or scale it.

Which version of Blender....because I have no problems importing obj files directly?

I know it won't handle compressed ones...the obz that Poser is fond of using, but no problems with regular obj files.

I have the latest version of blender. My computer uses both 32 and 64 bit processing, I have the 64 bit version of Blender but its a bit glitchy, I might have to uninstall it and reinstall the 32 bit version. But I don't think blender is the problem, I modified only the geometry (On the collar) where the shoulder would be connected leaving the geometry that is supposed to connect to the chest unaltered, but when I import it into Poser the geometry that is supposed to connect to the chest is completely off. I line up the faces on the front and the top is either too big or to small.

Hmmm....looks like she's coming apart at the group boundaries....

As I don't have a working Poser install, at the moment, I can't export from Poser to test.

The problem is you exported from Poser instead of using the OBJ from the Geometry's folder, there's a known bug that causes the mesh to shift slightly.

Also, don't set the scale on import into Poser - just leave that option unchecked and it will come in at actual size.

If I leave the scale unchecked it will be the same size as the figure.

Yes and when I import directly from the Geometry's folder I get nothing!

I just tried to import V4 geometry into Blender and now the geometry is missing in Poser! WTF!

That was weird I just when into my Daz install manager and everything was set back to pre downloaded. I'm downloading it back in.

    That didn't make a difference.
