DAZ Content Reinstall on Rebuilt PC

Hi all, is there a way to reconnect my previously installed content to my new DAZ install? I had to rebuild my Windows 7-64 PC computer system due to a breakdown and hope not to have to re-download and install all my content.

Before my computer went belly up I managed to save all my content folders, which were located on another drive. So can I just move the folder onto my new D: drive and tell DAZ that is where my content is to be located?

I also saved my DIM installer content info that was located in C:/ProgramData/DAZ/InstallManager. When DIM is reinstalled can I just copy the info into this file replacing the new info? If so will this prevent DIM from wanting to re-download and install all my previously installed content or is this just an extra step I do not need to take? By using the original file will this prevent me from having to redo all my settings in DIM? What about my Poser 10 Content will DIM recognize that also or will it have to be reinstalled from DIM?
Just don't want to have to reinstall all my content all over again so all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Actually, if you plug the drive that you moved everything to into the new machine, it should show up as E or something, right?

Well, you could just point Studio to that location, without having to move anything. Or if you want to go ahead with the 'move it all to D:' plan, just point Studio to that location, when the move is finished.

As to the DIM...probably. I don't use it, so I can't be absolutely sure it would work, but it should.

If I remember correctly, the Manifest directory stores all the information about which packages are installed. Copying the InstallManager directory over to the new machine should work, but you would have to copy your library over as well.

When I switched from my laptop to this machine, I copied my libraries, render settings and layout preferences onto an external drive and then moved them to the new machine once it was up and running. I reinstalled DS, reinstalled all the main figures, shaders and plug-ins and I was good to go as far as I can recall. Basically, if you know you'll need it, copy it.

I don't use the DIM either, but, I store each and every zip I download so that I can install anything at any time. I even keep installer zips for previous versions of DS.

    CHEERS!
