'Zero Figure' breaks arm-moving morphs?

Hello all!
I hate only posting when I have a problem, but this one has me head-scratching.
I have a save file of V4 with all my morphs and ordered with the property editor so the morphs I use often are at the top etc...
However, I noticed that when her arm raises, all the clothes raised her breast, but her breast did not move...
Loaded a vanilla one. her breast moves when the shoulder raises...
I've tracked it down to changing when I use the 'zero figure' option from parameters...
is this a common thing? have I missed some simple 'preserve morph' option somewhere? does anyone know a fix? I don't want to have to re-replace everything, or refrain from ever zeroing a figure haha

Do you have hidden parameters displayed, or have you made the DForm strength controls visible? If so then zeroing the figure may zero the effect of the hidden magnets that are responsible for the breast movements - which would stop them from affecting the figure while leaving them on for the clothing.
That sounds like it! I know the Dformer dial is at 0 before and after I zero it... but afterwards, the dial does nothing.
it seems to stop the magnets from engaging...
Is there any way to stop this happening? other than saving a zeroed pose and re-loading that whenever I want to start a new pose :S
DS shouldn't zero hidden items - that's why I asked if you were showing hidden parameters, or had unhidden the property.
usually, i'm not showing the hidden items unless i'm looking for a discrepancy (one limb with a morph on the other's haven't kind of thing)
the Dformers option is always visible, but even if I hide it, it still has the same effect.
I don't know what magnets affect it, but i've not got any of them visible :(
No, the DForms themselves are hidden. I don't know why zeroing would affect the DForm strengths for you. Which application version are you using?
DAZ studio 4.6.0.18
good to know i'm not doing something exceptionally daft. This shouldn't be happening then?
No, it shouldn't and I can't reproduce it on a freshly loaded V4 - I'm not clear from your posts whether you can or if it's only the version with the reordered parameters that's the problem. That is a slightly older version of DS, but not one that I recall having problems like this.
It's a custom one that has a lot of morphs saved to it i'm afraid... It's been so long and I've put so many morphs on it, i don't even know where they're all saved to make a fresh one from scratch :S
Guess I need to just avoid zeroing the figure then.
didn't know i was using an older version... I set DAZ to check for updates daily. I suppose it missed that.
Well, I think i've found all the Dformer morphs that were getting zeroed... no idea why it was including them, but i'm locking them all on.
Kind of regretting this 'upgrade' to the newest version though... the kind of nice new features are not out-weighing the 'you need to spend a few days re-learning how to do all the things that were a lot easier before'
how can you move groups of morphs about in this new system?
You can change the path for a single morph from its Parameter Settings dialogue - the gear icon on the slider. Separate groups with /
You can move multiple morphs at once by right-clicking on the parameter pane and putting it in Edit mode, selecting the morphs with the usual modifier keys (shift and cmd/ctrl), then right-clicking on one of the morphs and selecting Set>Property group
I was really hoping that was not the only options. If I need to move a group, and four sub-groups with thirty morphs in each into ANOTHER group, retaining the original grouping, this is something like half and hour's work! with the old property editor, it would take ten seconds flat! Furthermore; how do I change the order of the groups?
why can't we just click and drag like before? this new way is so convoluted it's as if you're not even supposed to be able to do any of this
is there no way to move several properties, retaining their group? i need to re-order and move them to sub-groups and it's going to take hours to do them all one by one
There's a Show Sub Items check box under the groups that tells DS to show all the sub-groups at once - uncheck that and all the properties shown will belong to the current group. In Edit mode click on the first property, shift-click the last, right-click, Set>Property Group..., if you pre-type the main path (e.g. "My Base Group/My Sub Group" and put it on the clipboard you can paste it in in place of the current name and then type /name of subgroup.
I see... is there a suggestions thread anywhere I could bother folks about getting something a little less... well... circuitous
To be honest, I'm pretty pissed that's the only option! It seems like some very useful features have been removed and not for an apparent reason I can discern.
Sorry... you've been a great help for explaining that. Thanks for your replies, Richard
There's a "What would you like to see in DS 5" thread somewhere, but the official way to make a feature request is to submit a support ticket for Technical Support http://www.daz3d.com/help/help-contact-us
thank you very much for your help.
