New Computer and Daz Connect problem

Greetings all.  So ... I got a new computer recently and downloaded most of my content that I wanted to use via Daz Connect.  Last night when I shut down and restarted my computer it popped up a "Hey, let's finish setting up your Windows 10" sort of message.  Which included a "do you wish to use your OneDrive" message.  Which I did so I said yes.  Now however when I opened Daz and loaded my last scene one of the items I used came up missing.  So I checked the Content Manager and now when I look at the "All" tab in Smart Content things that I haven't downloaded yet are missing.  They used to show up as greyed out pictures.  See screen captures below.  I think perhaps the Windows 10 update changed my location setting but I'm not sure.  I've attached screen captures of my current settings.  I think my Daz Connect setting should be "C:\Daz 3D\Applications\Data\DAZ 3D\My DAZ 3D Library" but when I go to change it I get an ominous warning that I've included a screen capture of.

Does anyone know if changing the location to "C:\Daz 3D\Applications\Data\DAZ 3D\My DAZ 3D Library" is the right move?  Does the warning message indicate that I'll lose the ability to see all my already installed content in the Smart Content tab if I do change it?

That sounds as if OneDrive has moved the files in your documents folder, which would include the metadata and product files used by Connect by default, and Adddata folder, which has the database, to the OneDrive folder where DS doesn't know to look. You would either need to move them back (so stop using OneDrive, which may be wise for content) or correct the paths in Content Directory Manager. Adding the path as the last dialogue suggests should certainly help.

Thanks for the feedback. Changing the folder might have fixed the issue.  I see my icons for content now in the Smart Content tab. Most items seem to be loading ok.  The only funny things I see are that 1.)  Some items don't have that circle in the upper right (see third item in screen shot) and 2.) Victoria 7 Pro and Michael 7 Pro don't show up in Daz Central.  In fact none of the Pro Packs for any character are listing in Daz Central anymore, save for Michael 4 Pro Pack odly enough.  Everything else seems to be listed so I'm puzzled as to why those aren't.

Do the Pro bundles have their own files? If not they will not show as instalalble - you just get the constituent products.

No icon and coloured thumbnail means either isntalled through Connect or installed through another emthod and Daz Studio not allowed to update metadata online since before the item was purchased.

I guess the pro bundles don't have their own file per se, at least after Michael 4.  Everything seems to be ok then, save for a few items that apparently installed in OneDrive.  See screen shots.  When I click on them in the Smart Content tab a message pops up saying the resource cannot be found.  The Honey character for V7 for instance.  I've tried uninstalling from Daz Central and re-installing, and directly copying the shown folders/files to my "C:\Daz 3D\Applications\Data\DAZ 3D\My DAZ 3D Library" folder and re-starting Daz. So far no luck.  Still getting that error message.  From your last note, I suspect changing the local files does not change the postgresql cms entries that specify where Daz expects the resource files to be?

The database store only the relative path (the location within the content directory), not the location of the content directory itself, so as long as DS knows where the content directory (in this case the My Daz Connect Library folder as this is a Connect install) is it should be fine. Alternatively, copy the data folder from the My Daz Connect Library to C:\Daz 3D\Applications\Data\DAZ 3D\My DAZ 3D Library (where it should merge with the existing data folder). Reinstalling from Daz Central or Install Manager won't help as those get ignored when there is a Connect install.

So if I delete the My Daz Connect files and folders then Daz will think there is no such item installed and I might be able to re-install to the current valid location?

No, if you delete the Connect files 9or just have them where DS can't find them) but the database still shows them as installed then DS will try to load them, and ignore any Install Manager/Daz Central files for the product.

That did the trick.  Thanks for all the help.  The only minor quibble now is the Anatomical elements for Michael/Victoria below version 8 do not show up in Daz Connect (version 8 does though).  Other than that it seems all is as it should be.
