How do I know what to update?

I’m still on a much earlier version of DS (Beta 4,14) and I see a lot of updates and I don’t want to screw up what I have for updates pertaining to later versions. For example all the Starter Essentials, Genesis 8 HD for various characters, Shape Shift, expressions, default resources, Sakura 8, irradiance HDR Mesh lights, storybook mouse, Oni HD, SY Fantastastical creatures for Genesis 8 females, Dial Fusion, Dial control for Genesis 8 and a few PA HD characters. How do I know what to update and what would become unusable in an older version of DS?

    I am still on 4.15 and will not update anything till I move to a newer version unless a new product isn't working correctly. I find most updates are for meta data and since I never use smart content, don't apply to me.

    My rule, if it's working, don't update it.

    I'm just not going to update any of it. It's working.

    I just wish they would say exactly what was updated. I mean Sakura 8? Why would that be updated?
