Robin hood outfit?

Hey guys...could you please suggest me a robin hood outfit or a combination of products that they would look like the clothing of a medieval short of robin hood type? For male please? Thanks in advance....

  • Are you looking for Errol Flynn style?  If you're looking for actualy medieval-style clothing, you are probably out of luck - there are no good chaperons that I've found.  What generation are you looking to fit to?

    https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-monk-for-genesis-8-males

has a decent hood/chaperon, though rather plain.  Wish someone would come out with nice, modelled dags.  Sigh...

has the closest to a proper pair of trews, but if you aren't so fussy, probably any legging-type pair of pants suitable for your generation would suffice, like

Footwear has to be generation specific.

    isn't a terrible choice for a t-tunic...

There's other options, of course, but that's my quick, newer-item suggestions. :-)

I would say this Luthbel Wildenlander outfit has RobinHood elements. It even comes with a bow and hood.

A quick test: Jack of Hearts and Adventure Land outfits autofitted to G8 Male. No special adjustments.

I suppose that may depend on what pose you use; but a quick test  of a couple of poses seemed to work OK. For example:

That may be acceptable for some but not for me...but I've apparently gotten a reputation here for being ultra nit-picky, lol. I just can't stand any level of distortion and though I can't blow up the picture size, I see it in the knees and the metal pieces at the waist.

I have that specific outfit, and though I've had luck converting the shirt and applying dForce to it, the metal shoulder piece could not be saved (perhaps by parenting and not fitting...didn't try that). I couldn't get the boots to work right.

  • The OP was talking Robin Hood, though, so the parts that fail wouldn't be an issue?  The shirt isn't right for the period, and boots should always be from the same gen as the figure, IMHO, because it's just vastly easier.  I can't comment on anything fitting G8 - I don't use it.

The Wildenlander outfit looks good, but I don't own it, and I can't see the hood very clearly from the promos - it looks like it is attached to a cloak?  That isn't the 'classic' Robin-Hood look I thought the OP was going for - though the outfit has lovely linen-y texturing!  Plus, there is no tunic, only a vest and surcoat, split up the front (though with no visible fasteners), and both are of a later style by several hundred years, so I wouldn't choose them if you are going for the early medieval era.  Just my opinions, of course!

The hood is attached to the cloak and sadly has no morph to go down. Only way to get rid of it is to hide it or delete it with the geometry editor.

I've been beating the drum in the forums for quite a while now about wanting higher quality (and newer) medieval clothing...for men and women (and not just more dresses for women).

    I found this

    https://www.pearsonsrenaissanceshoppe.com/robin-hood-outfit.html

of course they are selling their clothing

it's real clothing mods, not a competing 3D site cheeky

just sharing for kitbash ideas among OP's existing library

Here's a texture set for the monk outfit already linked above. The promos for the monk outfit don't do it justice...perhaps the dForce settings need help (that's usually what the problem is) - https://www.daz3d.com/many-monks

This outfit also might be worth taking a look at - https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-cleric-outfit-for-genesis-8-males ...and the texture set... https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-cleric-outfit-textures-
