Why are the wheels on this render not perfectly round?

I rendered this tricycle image and the wheels are not perfectly round. It seems that they need to have a smoothing function applied to them. Is there a way to do this?

You can convert it to subD (edut > Geometry > Convert to subD) if it isn't, and it it is increase the subD value.
Did you check the displacement/bump/normal channels? Could be something there to be dialed down. Might be intended as a tread pattern.
However yes there is an Edit option to add a level of subdivision. If the bike is one object though it will be applied to the entire bike.
And if the problem is displacement, that is also dependent on subdivision.
