Are phones usable in the Prison Visitors Room?

I don't see any promo renders for http://www.daz3d.com/prison-visitors-room where they are holding the phones to talk to each other in either the product or the pose set addition. Does anybody know if the phones have some rigging or are they just fixed on the wall of the compartments?

They're just part of the scenery, it seems.
When you click on them, it lightens up the entire base, and there's no single bone there.

None of the poses in the companion pack show phone use.
That's a shame, since it's the whole idea of the room, but you could probably fake it with some clever prop use.

Yes I was thinking you could use a different phone prop..... but these days the prison visit is probably the only place you find these older phones in use....... and who knows .... maybe inmates have Iphones now.

I have a working phone figure in my Office product, although I don't know if the style would be suitable. Here's a pic to let you see what it's like.

Well I found http://www.sharecg.com/v/63274/gallery/11/Poser/Old-Phones-and-1960s-Office on sharecg. It has a wall phone which you could use but it has some issues of its own (It hangs up Poser and in Daz Studio you have to locate the textures when loading). I played with the surfaces to hide the dial and paste over some of the other surfaces. It has some morphs to stretch the cord and move the receiver. I think I will wishlist the prison visitor room for now even though I like the concept and look of it.

Wow... that's a pretty major oversight, especially give that there's a companion product with poses. At the very least there needs to be a "hide handset" setting and a separate prop phone before I'll plonk down my cash..

Not legally. There's a great first season episode of Orange is the New Black dedicated to that.

Seems like you'd want a matching handset prop that smart-parented to a figure's hand, and then EZ-Pose rigging for the phone cord to point it back to the wall.

I don't know anything at all about EZ-Pose...isn't it supposed to be next-to-impossible to get right unless you have a working copy of Poser (which I no longer do)?

can you "cut them out" with the geometry editor?

By the way, there's a matching phone handset with easy pose cord and multiple V4 poses included with Out of Touch & Ilona's "5TEASE PinUp Vol 1 - Ring Ring" over at Rendo. The one catch is that the base unit that the phone's attached to is more of a modern "Princess" type design.

Exactly why I didn't buy this lovely looking set. Hints were in the expansion pose set, none of the characters using the phones.

For the asking price, I shouldn't have to be using the geometry editor to hide included parts.
