Daz to Blender Bridge

Hello! I'm having trouble finding the Blender bridge for daz.
So of course, I'm missing my "scripts" menu, where the daz to blender bridge is. On my other computer, I opened up my workspace customizer, and made a custom menu for scripts in the main menu bar, and added the blender bridge as an action. HOWEVER, on my laptop, I can't find the blender bridge anywhere in the actions menu. It's on my computer, I can find it through DIM, and I've tried closing daz and reinstalling it, but it won't show up. Not under the "Bridges" subgroup, not anywhere else.
How do I use Daz to Blender? I really need it on my laptop, and no, I can't use diffeomorphic. The setup for that was confusing.

There is an issue, mainly with clean installs, in Daz Studio 4.20.0.2 with not saving layouts. This post has a workaround, and links to a script that can be used to automate it - that may then allow you to install the bridge successfully. My workspace resets every time I reopen Daz. - Daz 3D Forums
I followed the instructions and have the dsx files mentioned in the post in my studio4 files. I don't know where to from there though. What do I do with them? My end goal is to get daz to blender working in daz
If the filse are theer open Daz Studio, make a chnage to the layout (e.g. open a new pane from Window>Panes(Tabs), and close - if the change has stuck this time try reinstalling the bridge.
the files are there, and changing the panes works fine. I just don't follow how that gets daz to blender bridge installed. The issue I'm having is that Daz to blender bridge is not in my actions list when I go to customize my layout. It's not anywhere in there, so I cant add it to my scripts custom menu
Custom actions are part of the layout settings.
I'm new to this, I don't quite follow. Can you walk me through the process of being able to use DtB script in Daz, start to finish? I already have the dsx files in my studio4 folder. And they are dsx, not sneaky dsx.txt
That is your problem - rename them to get rid of the .txt at the end; in Windows 10+ you will need to enable the option to show extensions for known file types in the View Ribbon bar.
no, I'm saying that's not the case. I dont have any dsx.txt files. this is my studio4 folder. Can you walk me through how this get's me to having daz to blender bridge functionality in daz?
OK, That is the desired result. Try reinstaling the Bridge, with Daz Studio closed, then start Daz Studio.
didn't work, still cant find DTB in my actions list in workspace customizer. Is there anything else I need to do? I feel like there's something else wrong here. Should I just reinstall daz studio
I've reinstalled Daz studio, still nothing. Is there really no solution here?
That is the workaround for the issue caused by 4.20.0.2, I am not sure what else to suggest.
From what I see it seems to be an issue with dazcentral that doesn't install the bridge correctly.
What worked for me was finding the .zip file of the blender bridge (for me its called IM00070891-01_DazToBlender.zip), and in \AppData\DAZ 3D\Studio4\RunOnce there is a file called Daz to Blender_Install.dsa
extract that on your desktop and open it with daz.
After that the script should appear correctly in daz
I installed daz to blender by daz central. But there is o script part at taskbar in daz studio. I found the file list of daz to blender : `http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/70891/file_list`
According to this list There are some files missing for this script.
"/scripts/support/DAZ/Daz to Blender.dsa
/scripts/support/DAZ/Daz to Blender_Genital.dsa
/scripts/support/DAZ/Daz to Blender_MorphExporter.dsa"
I don't know what to do.
I am also having trouble finding Daz to Blender script. I'm on 4.20.0.17 and have "scripts" tab in the top toolbar, populated with pose corrector and scene tools scripts that work properly. Daz 2 Blender is not there.
If I go to window>workspace>customize I can find Blender in the "bridges" section of the tree, but no idea how to get it to function.
I've tried un/reinstalling through DIM with Daz closed; no change.
Is there something I'm missing?
Erik
Check the File menu, not the Scripts menu.
OK, thank you; that's the one.
Did it change locations? All the tutorials I'm reading specify it as in the Scripts menu.
Erik
Yes, the older bridges (Zbrush, Hexagon, Bryce) were there so when they were doing a major round of changes they moved these new bridges to the same location.
