DAZ + Subscription Renewal

vonHobovonHobo Posts: 1,700

My subscription to DAZ + expires in about a month so I thought I would renew now, but when I click on the DAZ + section all it does is advertise the benefits.

There is no way to add another year to my cart or resubscribe.

Am I missing something?

The resubscribe link on the DAZ+ coupons page doesn't do anything either. It takes you to the same advertisement with no way to add anything to the cart.

    Purchase one of these:

The time will be added to your current subscription.

Why buy now at full price? I'd wait and watch for a sale, if I were renewing. As you approach expiration, Daz will send you an offer for a discounted renewal. Membership sales are also advertised from time to time on the Daz Store banner.

    Thank you. I will wait.

when is the spring DAZ+ sale? They usually have a coupon then..and even if its June or something, let it expire and catch up whenever.

It was in June last year.

Mine was recently about to renew at regular price for another year. I got a discount offer after canceling my membership. Even when you cancel, you remain a DAZ+ member until your membership expiration date, so there's no worry about losing time you paid for.

I cancelled mine during the MM sale and did get a discount offer, but at that moment I wasn't too inclined to renew, even with 75% off. The discount given was 30%.

Of course Daz could always raise the price from the current $70 to something like $100. In which case a 30% discount would only get you back to $70. Everything else is going up and discounts, like intro discount, are going down, so...

they surely could do that and then I wouldn;t even have to think about it any longer. bye would be the answer.

I didn't get any offer to renew when my time came. I let it expire. Only the 2nd time since 05!

Same here. Been a member since 04, only had the membership expire once when they started into Genesis and away from Poser which I used at the time. Came back when G2 figures were at a steep discount and it made me start using Studio. I did not receive an email with a 'discount' for a membership getting ready to expire. I got an email saying it was going to "renew and if I didn't want it to renew, I needed to cancel my membership." I was ready to renew it around March Madness, I expected them to offer a crazy "Mad" special on it, but 30% off wasn't enough for me to jump. I'll just keep parking items into my wishlist and save some money until later in the year. Wow, in 2 more years I'll have been a DAZ customer for 20 years!

I think if they have one more free item of the month that is a plant, I'm going to cancel my subscription.

Hmmm. I did get the offer in email earlier this month, but I didn't take them up on it. After expiration, I got another offer to come back. I didn't renew, though.

Same here. Even if I had received an email offer I would have ignored it unless it was something like a 70% or 80% discount. Like NylonGirl, I have all the free plants I can use, plus the discounts offered seem like they've been getting worse or more limited as time has gone on. Daz+ just isn't offering any real benefits for me anymore.

I'm in the 'won't renew until PC+ annual is at least 50% off' camp.  In the handful of years I've been shopping here, I've always held out for 50% off, and have let my membership lapse twice now, waiting on such offers.

As I've noted before, now that I have a fair number of items in my Daz folders (DIM tells me close to 15,000 items), I simply don't have need for a lot of stuff, so PC+ is less useful to me.  And as others have noted, the botany freebies fetish lately gets annoying after a while.  I can't speak to the last few weeks r.e. which Daz+ freebies may have been offered, but yeah my Daz greenhouse is already overflowing with a number of plants from a number of environment/architecture sets.

This is why I've been advocating for a gradually increasing discount for a while now.  Say 50% off (when on sale) for new members, plus 2% for every full year that you've been a Daz customer.  This would mean 60% off for people that have been shopping here for 5 years.

This is the one thing that doesn't directly impact any PAs, i.e. whatever discount is given on memberships is strictly an arrangement between the Daz staff and the customer, the PAs won't see a cut of the membership fees, at least not in any direct sense.

And if anyone actually has been shopping here for 25 years, ABSOLUTELY they should get a free Daz+ membership, and I'd love to have your runtime.  Sure, the old stuff is a bit more rough around the edges, but even back in the early 2000s there have been a number of cool outfits, environments and such that simply are no longer available.  In any case, if you've been shopping here for 25+ years, you've probably been helping pay the salaries of a number of Daz employees over the years, so that's the least the Daz staff can do for you.

Really, instead of treating new customers like 'nubes', Annual Daz+ memberships should just be permanently dropped to $35 IMHO.  Probably won't happen, but more people would probably sign up at that level.

The 70% off annual break-point peeps, when was the last time PC+ annual was on sale for more than 50% off, not counting temporary store glitches that were resolved within a couple of hours?  I'd actually like to know!

Those are my thoughts anyways.  My shopping here has dropped to nearly zero in the meantime, until the next time a 50% off (or better) annual membership deal comes around, and I've mostly been shopping elsewhere over the last few weeks.  Your move, Daz sales team!

I'm also in the same camp - have been a non-stop PC+ member for 6.5 years and just let it lapse for the first time...feels kind of sad. Will also consider repurchasing for (at least) 50% off...

last month i didn't use it as there was nothing I wanted that wasn't also Daz+, thus excluding it.

... My subscription is due for renewal soon, and it will be strange to not have it after all these years - but is no longer worth it to moe.

... And so far, I can't find anything I want this month either - that isn't also Daz+.

Edit: what-ya-know, I found something; took a while.

I notice you are all still in DAZ+

(or Platinum Club+ as it's still called in your profiles inspite of all the hooah about the name change)

Mine ran out early January and I have saved heaps of money as evidenced in the how many pages in your product library thread, I haven't added a page in a year!

Wendy, why do you say all are still in Daz+? I'm out, and I see the profiles of several posters here show they are also out.
