Regarding the Iray material options, why do some dials have and some don't?

For example, the tear material has Refraction Color and Refraction Roughness, but I found the water material of a scene, and it does not have these two items.

Another question is are Refraction Color and Transmitted Color the same thing? It seems to be the color of the water.

Some dials are hidden until some other dial is activated.

All the dials should become visible if one right-clicks at the surface-tab and selects Properties->Show Hidden Properties from the drop-down menu

If they are hidden it is, or should be, because they will have no effect.
