DAZ Studio won't load

Yesterday I was doing a clothing conversion, which caused my computer to lock up. I did a restart and when tried to open DAZ studio it would not open, something about not loading the CWS. I've reinstalled DS a half a dozen times, but nothing seems to work. I'm out of ideas.

(Possible) stupid question (I had to check), have you cleared out the temporary files in the Appdata folder?

CMS - Content Management System - sounds more likely; a crash may have corrupted the database. Do you have back ups - by default the database is in your AppData folder, or the Application Support folder on Macs I believe.

I should have said that I'm running DS 4.10. There is no AppData folder, could it be the Appications/Data folder? If it is and I delete it will it be rebuilt when reinstall DS. I don't have a Back up.

AppData is a Windows folder, hidden by default

    %appdata%/daz 3d/cms/

should get you there if you paste it in the adress bar of a file explorer window - don't do anything to it, I'm just asking if it is backed up.

    I didn't back it up.

OK, then you have a high-risk option. You could renamed the contentCluster folder, then try restarting Daz Studio and see if it starts - if it does you know the issue, and you can reimport emtadata for products but - unless you'd exported it - you will lose metadata for your own files. If it still doesn't start then the issues iss oemthing else and you can try restoring the folder name, if the issue can be resolved by another route then you may still have the database.

That didn't work so now I'm going to go for the nuclear option. Delete everthing of DAZ studio and start over.
