Time Jumper HD Outfit Boots for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Females | Daz 3D
can the straps be removed? I like the overall Time Jumper clothing..real nice, but the straps kind of dont look like I want them there all the time. What is their purpose? I'm thinking you grab them and try to jump .. or something like that.

I looked at the boots first thing after I downloaded the outfit. The straps go with something like socks that go up the thighs. At first I thought if I added the pants there might be a gap, but no, the 'socks' go over the tightly fitting pants up to the bottom of the knees. I think someone mentioned needing the geometry editor in the main thread for the character to edit them out. That looks like how you will have to go.
As someone who was in the military and worked around a dangerous environment, straps like that are a dangly bit that would need to be tucked in, buttoned up, or taken off. I know I had to stop wearing jewerly because I could rip fingers off, choke myself, or cut-off a hand, or get a bad cut on said body parts.
The only thing I can think they might be used for, is to link the character into whatever allows them to 'jump through time' so they are insulated somehow?
@memcneil70. Too bad they cant be made invisible or something. Yeah, no idea their function. I also thought grounding straps but they dont touch the ground ... all that friction built up fraveling through time needs to be dissapated :)
They are for pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps--a common time-traveling paradox. :)
Those straps were the deal breaker for me.
I like the outfit, but I find the straps silly and useless.
The upper leggins and the loose straps share a material called, "TJBoots_Leggins." Set that opacity to zero and Bob is your uncle.
thanks, that's great. Also like someone said, using the geometry editor to cut those polys out of there.
Nice! I was hoping somebody who had it would chime in and say if there was a material zone for that to turn the opacity off if needed.
Post of the month!!!![yes yes](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/thumbs_up.png)
Thank you. That was my guess.
