Moving My DAZ Library to a new disk

Because I use a MacBook Air with limited hard drive capacity, I've moved my growing DAZ library to a new drive. I pointed the Content Directory Manager to the new location and all of my content shows up in the Content Library and my saved scenes load without errors. However, all of my purchased content has disappeared from my Smart Content tab, which is a better way for me to access it.

Is there any way to fix this?

I have a backup of the original file via TimeMachine, so I could restore the files in their original location and move them again, but I want them moved off my primary drive to the 2TB portable drive I just got to free up space on my internal drive.

Note, for a while, I had DIM set not to delete the install files after installing them, but at some point I accidentally changed this. So I don't have the installers for for all of my content.

Open the Content Library and click the lined button in the top corner, then from the emnu pick Content DB Maintenance. In the Dialogue check Re-import Metadata, then click accept. Click Accept in the enxt dialogue. That should fix it.

[EDIT—I found the right button. Problem solved! For anyone reading this topic for help, the Button is the one on the upper left hand side of my screenshot.]

Am I looking in the wrong place? When I select the database button (which is what I think you mean by lined button) in the Content Library Panel, I get options for File or Database. Neither leads me to Content DB Maintenance.

(BTW, Richard, the speed at which you respond to questions with helpful information is better than anyplace else. You're truly exceptional at your job.)

Which corner the button is in depends on where, or if, the pane is docked - that's why I don't specify. I was forgetting the File/Database toggle would be a potential source of confusion. You can get the option menu by right-clicking the pane's tab, which I usually give as an alternative.

In doing this, I foolishly played with some of the other Content Database Manager options and now my self-generated/saved content (like character pre-sets and props I'd modeled and imported) has disappeared. It looks like the CDM is no longer seeing the stuff from the localized My DAZ folder (the one where all the non-purchased stuff gets saved). Can I restore this? I could revert my database file via my backup, if necessary, but if there's a workaround that doesn't involve that, it would be better.

If you didn't export User data then I don't think you can undo, other than by restoring. If you do a lot of customisation then exporting the user data (which is also an option in in Content DB Maintenance) is a good idea once done, when you re-import metadata the exported user data will be listed at the top of the dialogue, above the products.
